Great resort hotel

Really nice hotel with large grounds and backing onto the fantastic beach of Ka'anapali. The hotel was busy but never seemed crowed, except for breakfast on one or two days when we had a 10 minute wait for a table. Breakfast buffet was plentiful but very samey if you ate there for more than a few days.
Had dinner at the main hotel restaurant one evening - not a good experience for me, the food was just not to my tastes. I ordered Mahi-Mahi with pesto pasta - I received a huge bowl of pasta (enough for 2) covered in a sickly, creamy sauce and a small fillet of mahi-mahi on top. Not too my taste but my husbands steak was really good and tasty.
The pool area was pleasant with plenty of shade if you wanted and enough sunbeds so you could usually find a couple without too much trouble. Pools seemed nice and clean. Watch out at weekends as the local kids come to use the pool nearest the beach and it can get a bit rowdy, but its fine if you want to just have a dip and then go back to your bed.
All in all a really nice chilled place and only 10 - 15 min walk from Whalers Village which has some nice (expensive) resaurants and shops. Taxi to Lahaina costs around $15 - 20, but the nightlife there is better than the hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
If on room only ask to see if they have a deal on including breakfast - we managed to negociate a $10 discount per person on the buffet breakfast costs.

Great cocktails & Seared Ahi Salad while enjoying a stunning view.

although they stuffed around our room (we booked an ocean view, and were put in a partial or offered separate beds) the staff were helpful and apologetic. the rooms - and whole hotel - are gorgeously fitted out with timber. great view from the bar, and great food.

Fantastic Hotel on the beach front

upon arrival we were upgraded to a deluxe ocean view room for an extra $35 per night. it was the best money that we have ever spent! our room on the 9th floor had an unbelievable ocean front view. we almost didnt want to leave the room. the entire main tower looked brand new. our room was also all new inside. the staff were very kind and helpful and happy hour at the ocean pool bar was great value every day. there is a free shuttle to whalers village where we had dinner and drinks many times. i would definately recommend this hotel. great value for a deluxe ocean view room.
