Comfortable mattress that helped our sleep to get over jet lag. The room is too small with 2 queen size bed, no places to put 2nd luggage at all, crowded.
The so called ocean view is Not front row view though. A very basic clean hotel.
Front desk not able to help answering any travel/sightseeing related questions. Have to walk 5 min. Down to Aqua Palm hotel for help & service.

Double Tree fits the 4 stars rating. Location and service is good. You can walk to nearby shopping center, the beach and restaurant. We stayed for 1 night and able to have 2 rounds of golf. We will pick this hotel for our next trip to Oahu.

Was warmly welcomed by reception and booked in smootly. No porters to hassle you which was to our liking. Reception staff very obliging in meeting our needs. Hotel itself, although appears to be old, was very comfortable and would not hesitate in staying there again next time in Waikiki.Thouroughly recommed to others wishing to stay there.

Very close by to everything needed including public transport

We had a very welcoming and comfortable stay at the Alana Waikiki. You are welcomed with huge and delicious cookies when you arrive and given more when you leave! The room was clean and pleasant. Though not the best location in Waikiki it was still walkable to everywhere including the beach and a host of restaurants and shops. The staff were both friendly and professional and were very helpful with any enquiries.

i was a bit disappointed that the amenity of the bathroom was poor. and there was no kettle to boil water in the room. the coffee maker could serve hot water but it wasn't hot enough. the location was quite close to bus stops and shops. it was an average hotel but the lovely staff made my stay pleasant.

i was glad to have chosen doubletree alana. location was great. walking distance to the shopping strip in waikiki and ala moana shopping centre and walmart. the hotel and bed was clean and modern. only draw back is the room was a bit small and u cant access wi-fi in the room.however,there is free wifi in their lobby. make sure u ask for their signature cookie at reception. they are free and very yummy. we had one every morning

Lovely hotel but no concierge
Away from the busy streets, but still a great location!

Hotel close to Ala Moana Shopping Centre and only a 5 minute stroll to the beach and main shopping/dining area. Free WiFi in the rooms would have been a huge bonus!
Restaurant Tip:
Hula Bar and Grill served amazing food and was a great spot to watch the sunset
