The Kahala is a lovely spot near Wakiki, but far enough away with an incredible beach and nice pool. 9.3 The Kahala's goal is to please the guests. Any issue we had got resolved quickly and to our favor. The guest rooms are spacious and luxurious. It is located on a lovely beach with an adequate pool. the vibe is relaxing and low key. Breakfast is expensive and we learned late in our stay to just head to the nearby Whole Foods for supplies. Restaurant Tip: Eating meals at the hotel is quite expensive, especially for dinner. We ate at many fantastic restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Our favorite was Town with an emphasis on small plate made with fresh organic ingredients. Absolutely delicious and reasonable priced.

Families with young children Germany, February 23, 2013	schoen gelegen direkter Zugang zum Strand, sauber, fuer Kleinkinder ungefaehrlich 7 Das Hotel wirkt veraltet und die Architektur sehr simpel. Die Zimmer sind gut aber viel zu ueberteuert. Die Toilette sehr klein - etwas fuelligere Menschen koennen die Tuer nicht schliessen. Um andere Restaurants oder Geschaefte, Bars etc. zu erreichen ist ein Leihwagen ratsam. Aber auch hier sind die Parkkosten mit 25 $ pro Tag sehr hoch. Wobei das Hotel einen shuttle service anbietet. Wir mussten das Zimmer nach der ersten Nacht wechseln, weil es neben dem Aufzug lag und der ist, speziell in der Nacht nicht zu ueberhoeren. Auch die Anzahl der Fahrstuehle ist nicht ausreichend, sodass laengere Wartezeiten in Kauf zu nehmen waren. Im neuen Zimmer konnte man sich aber nach 9.30 Uhr nicht mehr aufhalten, weil dann Presslufthaemmer direkt darunter einsetzten. Es wurde fuer ein neues Restaurant umgebaut. Fuer das Fruehstueck musste man trotz Reservierung bis zu 25 min anstehen, da die Kapazitaeten nicht ausreichend sind. Das Fruehstueck war gut aber mit insgesamt 45 $ pro Person voellig ueberteuert und damit nicht gut genug. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Unbedingt einen Leihwagen nehmen und entlang der Kueste Ausfluege unternehmen. Wunderschoene Straend, teils menschenleer und dabei Schnorchelausruestung nicht vergessen. Die Unterwasserwelt ist wunderschoen. Von einem s.g. Luau kann nicht unbedingt zuraten. Viele Menschen werden auf engstem Raum zusammengepfercht und bekommen dann ebenfalls zu ueberteuerten Preisen ein Programm und ein Abendessen geboten: Note 2-
