The ocean is only a few blocks away and the hotel also has a great proximity to many dining and shopping options in every direction. For a romantic dinner with amazing and creative food, head straight down the road to Orchids restaurant. This is one of the highest-rated restaurants in the area which also does brunch and their prices remain reasonable as well. Their reputation speaks for itself; this place really delivers in terms of quality and service.

Clean, airy, simple hotel with very pleasant service from valets to check-in. Located in a convenient part of Waikiki, although off the beach.
Rooms are small - designed as a place to sleep and keep your stuff - don't choose this hotel if you plan to spend your vacation sitting in your room (not sure why you'd want to do that anyway since you've come to Hawaii).
Great find a couple of short blocks off the main drag in Waikiki. Not on the beach but clean, simple rooms that you would expect from a Courtyard by Marriot and very friendly service. A good option if you plan to be out and about enjoying the sights of Hawaii rather than lounging in your room/by the pool.

The Wyland Waikiki has the touches of a stylish small boutique hotel with the famous artist WYLAND giving the feel of the ocean and natural art is everywhere in various forms.
The staff are great and friendly.
THE MARRIOTT GROUP have now taken over and bought the hotel and i wonder if they may ruin such a lovely hotel and change to there COMMERCIAL look
Travel tip : Get a room above level 10 or facing the mountains iff lower than level 10 as the street noise can be bad late at night. Leave air con ON and doors shut this will abate the street noise.

Great location, cozy room, wonderful breakfast
pool had smaller area, not alot of parking.
Wyland hotel was wonderful, it is within walking distance of almost all of downtown Wikiki. Which is good as most road are one way and tricky to navigate. There is not to much parking, so using the hotels Valet is practically a must.
Inside the hotel has tons of gorgeous oceanlife pictures on the walls. The pool is made out of rocks, a little smaller than we would have liked, but the beach is a 5 min walk down the road. The room was plain and simple. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows and blankets if you should need them. Overall I would suggest this hotel for people to stay in, though as we were there the name changed to the Marriot Courtyard. I just hope that they dont change to much as it is wonderful just how it is.
