Omni Houston Hotel, Houston (TX)

The hotel is quite conveniently located in the Galleria area with easy access to the 410 Freeway and not far from Memorial Park if someone would like to go walking or jogging there. The grounds of the Omni are spacious and has lots of grassy knolls separating it from the surrounding business buildings. There is also a double pool, i.e., one long lap pool and another adjacent at the tip of the first one for those who likes to do exercise swimming. And the exercise room looks out over this pool and grassy area. The lobby has several secluded areas for visiting. There is a bar off the lobby but it is small and when there is a large group of 8-10 people, it becomes too noisy, but you can sit in the lobby and be served by the bar. The rooms are well designed, spacious and most inviting. I found it quiet and peaceful without the noise that can come from people going in and out of the rooms. The elevators, which can in some hotels, take a long time, were quick to respond and I was on the highest floor but had no wait time to speak of for the elevators. I only had breakfast there but the food was good and the wait staff very pleasant.
