Great location but room needs updates.

I thought the hotel was very nice. The only real complaint that I have is that the rooms were a little stale. They could really use some newer carpet and some updates. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and everything was very convenient to what we did.

I guess you get what you paid for. My boyfriend and I wanted a cheap hotel but in a good location on the strip. Ballys was very reasonable in price. The room was outdated and a random wet spot was on the carpet floor with no leaking of the roof upon entering so I have no idea what that was from. The space was sufficient and the bathroom was ok but the overall stay is not something I would want to experience again. Next time I think we will spend a little more money in order to get a room that is cleaner and doesnt look like I walked into the 1970s.

valet service and bell service were prompt and friendly. registration was seamless and upgrade granted for very reasonable fee. we are non-smokers and found the entire environment to be fresh and easy to breathe. there must be some magic system here that draws smoke away from the public areas. the hotel is quite large and walking from one area to another was somewhat problematic, but handicap areas were useful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This hotel/casino is right in the middle of the action on the strip. We highly recommend Bally's...

Well Las Vegas is a place you need to have lots of money to enjoy. After our great show , Terry Fator, the rest was dissapointing. We ate at Baccanal and the food was just not worth the $45. we were charged per person. I would give our trip a $$$$$$$$$ and maybe one little star.
Nightlife Tip:
Bring alot of money! You will definately need it!

when i arrived the first lady that helped me was very rude and not helpful at all. She said she couldnt find my reservation and that she would have to charge me at regular rate for the first night and the next night it would be my responsibility to contact agoda and have them refund me my money for the first night and have them fax the confirmation for the second night to the hotel. she then told us all she had available was a single smoking room, which was far from what i booked and even though i had my confirmation e mail and booking page printed she refused to help us so i stepped to the side and almost left but got back in line and another lady helped me and with no hesitation booked me in took a copy of my printed papers and told me she would take care of faxing the company and getting my situation cleared up and appologized for the inconvinience on the websites behalf as well as her coworker having such a bad attitude

Terrible service, lots of screw ups

While we have been in worse hotel rooms, Bally's is not a hotel we will stay at again. The rooms were okay, but they were in much need of spring cleaning and updating. I think our room had 40 year old, dusty furniture. The front desk messed up our account and held $2800 on our bank account. There were other screw ups and they compensated us for it. They also messed up quite a few things at our seminar so much so that they provided free breakfast for all attendees. We were supposed to take the receipt to the front desk to receive compensation. The clerk was very sarcastic and complained about compensating us twice. Very poor service, absolutely no amenities - not even a coffee pot, microwave or fridge in the room. With the price of coffee and water there, we went to Walmart and picked up an $8 coffee maker and bottled water and probably saved ourselves $100+. Save yourself the trouble - stay somewhere else!

I will never ever stay at this hotel again without first walking the room before signing. The room we reserved...a room with a king bed was not available. All they had was a same size room with 2 queens and we were told, not very spacious. It was suggested that we upgrade to a suite for $25. Fine but it was old and had mold running in the shower, down the drain. Carpets were dirty and shabby. I have pictures if so desired.

While we had to wait in line to check in, everything else about the stay was great. The room was in great shape and appeared very clean with no strange odors. Room service was timely and they would call to see when they could come to clean the room if we had a do not disturb sign on the door. The rest was...well what can you say about Las Vegas?
Restaurant Tip:
The french restaraunts were great in the adjoining Paris section of the hotel.
