Ever since Vegas experienced 30% drop in number of visitors, the staff attitude improved - less arrogance and more service. One can tell that they worry about their job.
The hotel itself is stingy beyond belief - not even a bottle of complimentary water (without the chlorine).
The pool is designed so that at 4 PM an adjacent building doesn't allow the sun in. While it would be ok in the summer, in October/November it was to chilly to swim there after 4.
The rooms were in good shape, but I thought it was ridiculous that we had to ask for an extra fridge for our own fruit because the main fridge was occupied by the mini bar and removing ANYTHING from there, even to put it aside, would trigger an immediate charge to our credit card.
Still very elegant, I think the least tacky hotel in Vegas.
Excellent pool, heated too!
This is the most overpriced hotel in Vegas.
The only reason it is booked (and hence can keep the inflated prices) is because it contains the largest convention center in las Vegas. Most trade show attendees have little choice but stay here. You definitely do NOT get value for your money.
The convention center is located half mile (!) away from the lobby - it is a long and arduous walk through the smelly casino. I think they need a shuttle bus.
- Restaurant Tip : Surprise.
We went to Excalibur for dinner and it was ... good.
We tried the Steakhouse, and our friends tried the Italian restaurant (closed Mon- Thu) and also liked it ok.
The food was decent and not overpriced.

We stayed because we had a trade show in the same hotel. Because of that, this was the best location for us. Otherwise we would perhaps chose more centrally located hotel (Bellagio? Venetian?). Nice looking.
