Great deal for the money
I stay at the Rio for all the trade shows I attend.
7.7
I do think the food at the Rio is very expensive, Especially the food at the San Paublo. Breakfast for two ran between $30.00 to $40.00 dollars for my manager and I. This was just for eggs and a waffle!! Nothing special.

Very nice open suite
Big & comfortable size suite with great 270 degree view.

I love everything about this hotel, except no hot water in the shower. I had to jump in and out so quick taking shower because there's no hot water. When I mentioned that to the customer service at the customer service desk, he's pretty much shrug his shoulder.
The house keeper walked right in before my check out time.

good stay
nice club; many inhouse facilities
9.3
not too far from the strip (10min walk at most); the casino is always quite well attended. As it is not on the strip there is not a horde of tourists just strolling through it but the people who are there are actually there either to play or to drink. the swimming pool area is also very nice, the only hotel having a better pool is probably the hard rock hotel (but again this is for a general younger audience). the voodoo club on top of the roof is excellent - the views are the best of las vegas strip, also better than from stratosphere (not as high bit closer to strip). many bice chicks (who actually also stay in the hotel) if one would be interested in this :)
one floor below the club is a pricy restaurant (as always quality costs something). the buffet on the casino floor (breakfast and lunch) is huge and very good. the rooms are OK; my room on the 5th did not have a flatscreen TV, but hey, who cares - you're not in Vegas to watch TV right?! overall I can recommend it.
Hotel Feature Tip:
voodoo club is a must!

Huge room
Close the the conference location
6.7
The hotel is not at the strip, but hotel provide shuttle bus every half hour to the strip and the service last till 1 am. so it was not too bad. The room is really big as well as the toilet and bathroom. The mean reason I choose the hotel was the location's on the site of my conference. Over all I am pretty happy with the service

the check in process was very smooth and was given a one room suite upgrade. i was asked what time i would check out and when i mentioned 10am or earlier, they offered the upgrade. the room was nice and huge but was beginning to become dated. the bathroom was excellent and had all the normal amenities of a 5 star hotel. the parking garage was a bit far but typical of a las vegas hotel and casino. i was in las vegas for the ces show and would stay again here for both leisure and business. there seemed to be a very large selection of restaurant choices but i did not have the opportunity to try any as i was there for a brief stay.

Fantastic Buffet
Friendly, courteous service and check in
8.7
Even though the hotel is "not" on the Strip, the free shuttle service to Bally's and Harrah's makes it convenient enough.
Shuttles run from 10:00 am to 1:30 am, "approx. every 30 minutes", everyday.
The bar service on the casino floor is unique and works very well - Individuals named as embassadors come around and input your beverage order on an electronic "tablet" and within 4-5 minutes a host/hostess delivers your request to you.
Spent 6 nights in room 1415, "view of the strip". Room was kept clean and tidy.

life at the rio
Beautiful room, friendly staff.
8
Beautiful hotel. No coffee in the room - a real negative for a person who's up early and needs coffee asap! Food was good, albeit very expensive for 'Vegas. Front desk was very friendly, but didn't seem to know nearby landmarks, could not help us find the way to get where we needed to go. Rental car desk opened early with 0 cars and closed early, no way to reserve a car for the next morning. Concierge did not communicate with rental car desk and caused a delay the next morning to the business meeting at 8am.
