Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Valuable but a distance away

Stayed for 3 nights here over the weekend tbut i guess it's already cheaper that what others pay for on a weekend at a 5 star establishment.
(since it is newly renovated), and the rooms were great and clean. I would say the Luxury room is modernly done up, with comfy bed, etc. However the room and bathroom are small though, and the TV doesn't have many channels to choose from. even though i request for a higher floor and am staying for 3 nights. 44xx is at most 4th or 5th story, with a pool view. If u need a free alarm at 8 am, this is a good room as music from the pool will start playing at that time. At night, it's peaceful and quiet.
To get to the rooms from the strip, you have to take a stroll pass the whole casino, not a big deal unless you are in a rush. But if you take the airport shuttle or drive, the dropoff/parking area is near the check-in counter.
Free Wifi is available even for non-guests, as there's no log in password.
Casino is abit dated and dark, especially the area near the foodcourt with the pinball machines, should do a revamp there as well as the foodcourt.
Location wise, it's farther up north of the strip, and you have to travel further south to get to the shopping, shows, etc. With the deuce bus stopping just outside the hotel it is rather convenient to take the bus up and down the strip, but do note that because of heavy traffic in the evening(peak), it will will probably take you 40 mins to reach MGM (south side) compared to 20mins in the offpeak periods. If you want to take the monorail, that will be about 10-15 mins walk away.
Overall, a good and comfortable stay with Riviera for the budget conscious. You pay what you get, so do not expect 5* treatment and facilities and complain it's not comparable to them

Comfortable Place
Overall, I liked the pool, the shows, and the Pin Ball Hall of Fame.
7.3
I thought my room was nice and clean. It overlooked the pool. It was large as well as the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. While I was there, I saw the "Crazy Girls Show." It was awesome! It was a top notch burlesque show. I liked the British pub...best place to eat at the hotel by far. Nice beer selection...would prefer to have more local brews available though. The staff was friendly...except for one person at the breakfast buffet. I don't recommend Asian restaurant. I ate there once. My food arrived cold. I also expected my side veggies to be stir fried, but they came raw. That's my only real complaint. I don't like gambling, but I do like pinball. The Riviera has a wonderful collection of vintage pinball games dating back to the 1940s. I had a great stay and a fun time.

A stay at a sad, rundown, former classic
Maid staff, on the strip, that's it
5
Very subpar stay. I was hoping to get more bang for my buck. The hotel underperformed in every way. Bad staff (except for the maids), long wait at check-in, poor buffet, no offers from anyone to join the Riviera club, mold above the shower, terrible room service food, and a terrible old, rundown, feeling throughout.

"Nicely remodeled Riviera should suit all"
Close to Las Vegas Conv. Center, great restaurants, excellent comedy show!

i hadn't been to the riviera in years and was pleasantly surprised in the renovations that have been done. i chose this hotel due to the close proximity of the las vegas convention center and the price. the queen victoria pub is a great english style pub and restaurant that quickly caught my eye. the r steak and seafood was also a nightly stop for happy hour oysters and steamed clams for only an order. one of the best times i had while staying at the riviera was the comedy show there. i laughed aloud for an hour!

a little old school but a very big room
nothing really did anything for me here, but the spacious room
6
well i pulled in and parked the car.walked in to register but unknown to me registration was a very long walk (with bags)to the desk.now i find out there is a 15.00 resort fee(which i didn't mind but just tell me about it before in big print) and my room is even further. i was beat when i finally got to the room which was fairly nice.
Travel tip:
Try to get as much info as you can before you get there!ie.parking where room is located etc.

Room was very convinience for the Convention.
Price of the room was very reasonable.

I didnt like the fact that many people 'who looked like employees' want to ask me question and trying to sell a vacation package. Very Annoying. At the end of my stay I was charged per day for some kind of fee. Great and fast 'free' Wi-Fi. Great showers and plenty of hot water. Good maid services. Smoking in the casinos wasnt to pleasant to me. Prices of food was high. Went to eat outside. Hand carts are no available unless you use a bellboy.
Restaurant Tip:
Plenty of places where to eat out. The food court was also high priced for me.
