We booked the hotel not expecting much due to the low price but were very pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was! big rooms, filter coffee, large Tv, fresh towels every day. coulnt fault this hotel at all for security, amenities, cleanliness etc. Only grumble was the location in downtown, not alot to do in the area but we were able to see hollywood quite easily if you dont mind a lengthy bus journey! overall very good for cost
clean, cheap, secure
long way to tourist attractions
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Catch the 28 or 328 bus from outside the hotel to broadway then change for the 22 bus to hollywood as the hotel staff did not know this info!

It is in an ok location however, minutes from downtown LA, but you'll need a car if you want to visit, Santa Monica or Venice beach, Rodeo Drive or Hollywood Highland....eveything is quite far, there are few good restaurants at walking distance from the hotel and a 7Eleven open 24hrs almost opposite which is helpful for drink snacks etc. Staff at the reception are quite nice, and services are quick...You should visit Alley, there is a bus the n 28 will bring you to Historic Downtown LA in minutes, will also bring you not far from the Alley where you can find everything and anything and it's affordable, great clothes, fashion shoes.....
Rooms are cleans, spacious, with all best amenities (microwave, coffee maker, fridge...), nice comfortable bed, no noise, has also a parking space for every guests...
Far from Hollywood, but there is a bus stop few steps from the hotel, Taxi for example will cost $30 to walk of Fame....
- Shopping Tip : If you don't want to spend too much money for the best fashion goods go to the Alley in downtown LA but if you don't mind how much you spend go to Rodeo Drive....but les choices there though....

The first room we were given had a window into a dark hallway. There was great consternation at the front desk that another room was desired. The second room was tiny. The third room was roomy, newly furnished and gave onto a patio with a fountain. Third time was the charm.
- Travel tip : A good choice if the reason for your visit to LA is on the East side of town. You avoid the horrendous east-west traffic.
nice!

The Hotel was nice and the room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The charges were very reasonable. It is not far to walk to the subway. BUT the Hotel is situated in an area that is quite rough. The immediate neighbourhood is OK but as soon as you go a short distance in any direction the areas are quite rough. We didn't have any problems though.
Nice accomodation. Friendly staff. Good value for money.
Situated in the middle of quite a rough area of LA.

Location was convenient to light rail system and bus stops. Nearby Alvarado street very unique. Wilshire Blvd also close by. Was a good location for me.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Was able to get to Rodeo Drive quite easily using public transportation. Also made it Long Beach and Belmont Shores. Was able to see Hollywood, Universal Studios during this trip.
