Good location next to Hollywood Blvd and Thai Town
Next to shopping center and Thai town, Ross

The parking lot around the building is a little dark at night. Next door is Ross and a supermarket. Around the corner is Thai town with great Thai restaurants. Closed to highways to Universal Studio.

Good value and nice location

This hotel was in a very convenient location and the staff was very pleasant. My eleven-year old daughter stayed here with me for one night while we went sightseeing and shopping in hollywood. The rooms are a bit dated but clean enough. It feels a bit like staying in "old Hollywood" - somewhere a hopeful young starlet might have stayed back in the noir days. Most of the rooms are around a small pool in the courtyard and they play music around the pool all day. If you like it quieter, you might want to ask for a room in the back part of the hotel. There is a good amount of free parking.
Restaurant Tip:
Scoops Ice cream was a big hit with my adventurous eater daughter. They have unusual flavors like brown bread, honey lavender, Thai iced coffee, and guiness. It is two stops down the metro line at Vermont and Sant Monica. Go to the back side of the college (the shop is on Heliotrope).
