Good price for the location
Excellent location to Hollywood, Free WIFI and Breakfast

location
hotel is located about 30 minute drive from lax, and around 5-10 drive from chinese theatre. there's a metro stop close by. some shops, and restaurants near the metro. despite what other reviewers say, the area is fine and did not find it at all dodgy even at night, but as its east hollywood it all seems a bit sketchy first impressions.
room
the room was adequate overall it was on the ground floor facing the road, but was quiet. it looked a little dated with old furnishings but was clean, tv worked well and the bed was large, quite high but slept comfortably. the bathroom was also dated but amenities were adequate. the water did not seem that hot though, ok for a shower but not for a bath.
facilities
the hotel has a restaurant in the basement, it has quite nice decor but tv's are on. only used it for breakfast in which there was plenty of options overall. there is an egg station and overall thought the breakfast was ok (stayed in many hotels in the us where the breakfast is just cereal and bread). there is a swimming pool but didn't see it. they have a large car park which is secure with security and gates, it unfortunately cost $20 a day but am told this is standard in la. at least i felt the car was very secure. wifi is free though and works very well.
staff
staff overall were very nice, especially the reception lady whom helped me understand the controls on my hired mustang. check-in and check out was smooth. staff at breakfast and cleaning also are nice and say hi.
bear in mind there is a $100 deposit even though there is no mini bar, apparently for movies etc..
overall the hotel was perfect for sightseeing in the hollywood area and was reasonable for one night. room was ok but breakfast & staff were nice. paying for parking was annoying but wifi was free, comparing to other hotels in the area in which are double the price i would happily come back here.

There is metro quite near so it's convenient to go out. Room is clean and big enough but I dont like the smell in it. Breakfast free and wifi free but it cant log in automaticly. Anyway it really worth the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can take metro to Univeral studio.

Nice hotel and good location

It is really very near to Santa Monica station and this made me easy to catch Metro routes. Even very near to Hollywood blvd. So I could easily went to see wax Musum and could able to return at night.

Nice hotel
clean, big rooms, and reasonable price

Me and my son who was traveling with me had a great time in our stay in this hotel. It has big room and large beds. The restaurant though is open only for breakfast, however there are lots of restaurants nearby. There are two Filipino restaurants just a block away can't miss it.

The lcation is fair since we did not take the subway which is in minutes walking distance. The breakst is acceptable, with limited choices. The hotel provides just one lift for going up and down to all floors. It has congestion in the morning, especially during the breakfast and check out time.

Great location but lousy front office

i like the hotel actually. the breakfast is ok. but i don't like the service. the front office always give sour face (she usually serve in the morning until afternoon). no bell boy or concierge to help me get my luggage out and into my room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Near to hollywood boulevard. You can use local tour like guidelind tour to pick you up at this hotel to go to some attraction area such as universal studio or disneyland.

Good service with a smile

The hotel is just by a main road and it is easy for transportation. It is just a bit far from downtown. There are not many choices for eating out near the hotel, just some food malls like pizza-hut, subway, Chinese food.

Great location
Conveniently located near the metro station, and places with good food

I was impressed with the appearance of the building compared to others I have seen in Agoda's website. For this price during the pre Oscars period, it was great value for money especially with breakfast thrown in. Service was rather prompt from the booking online onwards, with efficient staff helping me settle in to Los Angeles.
Travel tip:
Since you're in Koreatown living in this area, do look out for non-American food to try.
