Beautiful decor and a classically elegant ambiance. We were truly transferred back to the 1920's the moment we walked through the lobby. The ballrooms are by far the most gorgeous in the area as well as the common hotel area. The rooms are older but still nice. The people and the service they provided was a perfect 10. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back again and again!

Decor and ambiance are head and shoulders above all else in the area. The service was outstanding and it is centrally located.

Rooms are older but still very nice. Some of the room amenities could be updated.

  • Nightlife Tip : Definitely make a point to visit the hotel lobby bar. It is gorgeous!

it was perfect from the beginning, early check in, got a large clean room and two very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were a little old, w/o any real towel racks. The restaurant was very good, we had the buffet breakfast, the staff was very attentive. Also the afternoon tea was a lot of fun, loved the mango green tea! And the hotel, WOW!

GREAT service, ambiance, food, location, pool

price of parking, hallways looked really old

This hotel is very historic, and very popular in the Hollywood industry. The first Ocar's were held there. You feel like you're on a movie set once you walk into the lobby. I would keep going back as long as the rates are modest. Sai Sai resturant inside the hotel is a must for sushi lovers and the M Bar is a cool hang out spot where even locals go.

Clean hotel inside and it's surroundings. Close to the Diamond District where I do business. Subway system only blocks away, and choice of resturants are plenty full.

Rooms in need of being updated, like the TV's and bathrooms.

  • Nightlife Tip : The Standard hotel is right down the street and has a roof top bar/club. Worth checking out on the weekends

My stay at the Millenium Biltmore was absolutely grand - just as the Biltmore is. The history of the building is fantastic. The food is excellent and they have a great selection of wines. The customer service is superb. Special thanks to James for opening the ballroom for me to view! When I visit downtown LA again, I will stay at the Millenium Biltmore!

Fantastic history; excellent food; great selection of wine; customer service superb.

Just that rooms are old and still kind of smell like cigarette smoke. But it's an old hotel.

  • Hotel Feature Tip : Be sure to ask to see the ballroom.

Overall the experience was very enjoyable. From the moment you walk in you notice the grand lobby and sense of LA style. Checking in was a snap and my room was exactly what I had asked for. The beds were very comfortable and the room was enormous. The only real con was the parking that costs $45 a night, other than that, no real issues. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice lobby, huge room, very nice for downtown LA and very close to the metro.

Parking was 45 dollars a night!!!

I would never feel comfortable staying here ever again due to awakening my first night to find bedbugs had been feeding on my blood overnight. I saw live bugs crawling & smears of my blood where I had rolled over or tossed during the night and killed some of them. The staff offered to move me, but that was too inconvenient. Instead I requested they remove all the linen & mattresses from the room and switch them out. I did not sleep well my second night after having this issue on my mind.

Older European decor from the great age of hotel design.

Expensive overnight parking, fees for wireless access, and worst of all--bedbugs!!

We were attending an event at the Nokia Theater and thought the Biltmore would be a good choice. We needed an early check-in and the staff was very accommodating. Friendly and helpful employees - especially the front desk and the bell staff. The rooms are good. Great bedding and comfortable pillows. The rooms are old, however and the bathrooms are not very good. Very outdated and "dingy". There's also a slight "musty" smell in the hallways. Be careful what day you stay as some of the hotel restaurants are not open on Sunday.

Great location to downtown events, Nokia Theater, Staples, Center, etc. Very friendly staff.

Rooms are older. Bathrooms are incredibly outdated and dingy. Musty smell in the hallways.

  • Hotel Feature Tip : Very helpful staff.

Downtown LA has a lot to offer and is becoming a great place to visit with lots of restaurants, museums, etc.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Los Angeles Conservancy offers walking tours of the downtown LA area. We took the Broadway Theater walking tour and it was really interesting and fun. We got to see theaters built in the 1920s. Very fun. We also went to Little Toyko to see the Murakami exhibit at the Geffen Contemporary Museum. The show was great.
