If your an Elvis fan then you will enjoy this Hotel. There is a big screen in the restaurant area showing Elvis stuff from after breakfast until the bar closes. The location is superb, you can walk next door for your graceland tour and gift shops. Just a short hop to Sun studios and downtown Memphis.
On the down side the Hotel could do with refurbishment, it is looking a little worse for wear. The buffet breakfast isn't up to much, toast cereal and cake. Disposable plates, dishes and cutlery. The A/C in the room was noisy.
In fact it's the kind of place you would stay once just to say you have been. However if I go to Memphis again (which I hope to because it's a wonderful place for music lovers) I would consider alternative (less pricey) accomodation. Although for location and novelty value the Heartbreak Hotel is worth a short stay (3 nights max)
Nightlife Tip : Aim for Beale Street in downtown Memphis, it's alive at night and if you are a lover of motorcycles then Wednesday nights are the best. The place is packed with bikes of all shapes and sizes including some great custom ones.
