This hotel is vey well located on Ocean Drive and it has its own car park (paid for locally). Miami Beach is just over the road.
Rooms are a little small and bathrooms in need of some updating. Decor is dark,
This was our first trip to Miami and we selected Ocean Five Hotel based on its excellent location, reasonable cost and the fact it had a car park. Staff were helpful and provided advice on where to eat, visit and stay clear of. We felt the hotel could do with some modernisation but despite this we found it very comfortable and clean. We slept well and the best test of all is if we would stay here again. The answer is "Yes" we would. This hotel is good value for money and can be recommended.
Restaurant Tip : Ocean Drive has a reputation for being expensive. However, here are a number of 'chain' restaurants whos cost is exactly the same as found elsewhere in the US (such as TGI Fridays).

Go East on the ramp out of the airport and merge onto N Le Jeune Road / NW 42ND AVE / FL-953 S. Merge onto FL-836 E toward I-95 / DOWNTOWN (you will pass a Portions toll). Then merge onto I-395 E. I-395 E becomes MACARTHUR CSWY / US-41 E. You will then make a slight right onto 5TH ST / FL-A1A E. Continue to follow 5TH ST. Then turn right onto Ocean Drive. The Ocean Five Hotel is on 436 Ocean Drive.
