The hotel was designed by L Murray Dixon whose interpretations of the 30s’ art deco scene includes iron railings and terrazzo floors. Decent Hotel but needs improvement

The hotel was decent, but there were a lot of areas of improvement:
> my aircon would turn on and off (not on auto), and despite the technician looking at it, it did not improve
> the faucet was clogged, and i needed to call for the hotel to fix it
> the flush wasn't working so i needed to call again for the hotel to fix it.
> The room was near the lobby, so i would hear every time a person would pass by the corridor, and this could get disturbing at night.
> the walls were pretty thin so i could hear the persons in the room next to me talking.
In general, the service was good. the room was OK and reasonably sized, bed was decent, clean, and reasonably priced.
Location was also good - in the middle of Collins Ave, and an easy walk to the Ocean Drive.
Suggestions:
> charge the 16$ resort fee upon booking so it no longer gets confusing (since theres no option not to have this).
> improve the breakfast choices

A "good" hotel for S. Beach
For South Beach, its inexpencive. Clean, close to the action...

S. Beach is very expencive, but this hotel was one of the cheapest. I was expecting a well used dump but it was clean, and the hotel staff was friendly.

Hotel muy bien ubicado y limpio. Las camas no son muy buenas y son algo chicas. El desayuno que ofrecen por los 15 dolares que cobran (obligatorio) no es muy completo.
En general el hotel esta bien comparado con el resto de la oferta de hoteles
