Goulding Lodge Monument Valley
Location, room very clean and modern.

A visit to Monument Valley takes some hours and does not require to sleep near to the Park. However, the Goulding Lodge is an unique place where to have a special event in your life with you family. To wake-up on this morning with the view of Monument Valley is surely a unique event for you family.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Monument Valley trip by car. Not necessary to book a 4/4 trip. Trail in monument valley.

Lorsque nous arrivons dans cet hôtel, on se croirait arrivé en plein milieu du farwest. Cet hôtel a une situation exceptionnelle, niché entre les roches rouges qui l'entourent. C'est désert, entouré de logements indiens des Navajos.
Le restaurant est désuet mais le repas indien que nous avons pris était copieux et délicieusement cuisiné quoique qu'un peu cher. Le personnel (indien) est peu souriant.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
La ballade à chevaux pour visiter la réserve indienne est exceptionnelle

Besser als erwartet
Überwältigender Ausblick auf das Monument Valley

Lage kurz vor Eingang in das Monument Valley;
netter und unkomplizierter Empfang; schneller check-in. Hotel ist komplett non-smoking, aber Ascher auf dem Balkon. Zimmer recht gut ausgestattet mit flat-screen/ DVD, Kühlschrank,
bequeme Betten ( King bzw. Twin ). Bad recht klein,aber ausreichend. Tisch mit zwei Stühlen sowie Schrank und Kommode. Restaurant im oberen
Teil der Anlage, haben wir nicht genutzt.
Zusätzlich Giftshop und Museum. Unterhalb der Anlage Tankstelle, Imbiss und Supermarkt. Wir hatten uns vorher eingedeckt mit Getränken und
im Kühlschrank gelagert. Nächster größerer Ort
ist Kayenta mit großem Supermarkt, Tankstellen sowie Restaurants ( meistens fast food )und ohne
Sehenswürdigkeiten...! Handyempfang war dort und im Umkreis von zig Meilen nicht möglich. Also am besten dort ( oder vorher ) einkaufen und nichts wie weiter ;-)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Unbedingt Gooseneck State Park besuchen. Ansonsten
auch Mexican Hat und Four corners sowie - je nach Wetterlage ( Jan. 2010 )Nat.Parks in Utah
