The location borders the french quarter and the wharehouse district, convenient but is neither here nor there. Take an escalator and then walk to your elevator. This hotel is massive and has little charm. Extra charges for everything. For the same money, you can stay at other hotels which are better. If you want access to their great health club, you can pay 16 USD and walk in while staying somewhere more charming.
Restaurant Tip : Rio Mar (Spanish Tapas) and Tommy's (classic new orleans haute cuisine) are two great New Orleans restaurants close by.
