Will definitely stay here again if visiting NYC
Near to subway, restaurants when walking from subway back to hotel,

Good free breakfast with muffins, bagels, hot self-made waffle, cereals, fruits (orange/banana/apple), toasts, danish, apple/orange juice, milk, coffee - able to save some $$. Gym beside bfast room have single water dispenser. Nice 32" LCD in room, microwave is added bonus for reheating food purchased from nearby Key Food supermarket, good toiletries with Pantene products.
Restaurant Tip:
maxim restaurant (chinese food) open till late ~11pm, along row of shops when walking back to hotel on queens blvd. there's a key food supermarket too; domino's also open till late night for late dinner/supper when back from all day ny sightseeing. usps post office too if needed stamps for postcards to send home. last tip: take the q33 bus if flying into laguardia, it will stop at jackson hts/roosevelt av station (last stop) to take subway (e/f) towards briarwood-van wyck which is the nearest station to the hotel ($2.55 or $2.25 if use mta farecard)

Superb value for the price
Price, customer service, quite near to subway station (10mins) and food

Best value for hotel stay in New York, 30mins ride from nearest subway station (10mins walk) to Times Square. Superb service, was able to keep my luggage with them for a few days as I checked out and travel to DC and back to stay for another night after that; thanks Chris !
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
30mis ride from Briarwood-VanWyck subway station (E,F). Purchase the 7days unlimited MTA subway farecard for $29, very convenient and handy, definitely will use more than that amount if travelling around NY for more than 3days. FYI, there's free transfer from subway to bus within 2hr period using the farecard.

Near to JKF airport. Good transist hotel

it is a good hotel for one night stay so that one could get to the airport quickly instead of the unpredictable traffic if travel out from manhatten. good value but room is small. ok for one night stay. receptionist (male) has a straight face and not friendly when asked for help with shuttle service to airport. in their website, i thought i read that shuttle service will be provided but it wasn't the case for us. maybe because we leave hotel at 5am to catch the 7am flight. at least he could explain and we will understand. instead we were told to book a taxi (costs us$18 one way) to take us to jfk at 5am. we are ok to pay but the information provided in website needs to clarify this point.
