Great place to stay if you want to be right in the middle of the most exciting part of the city. A little bit noisy with the street noise and subway but that's what you can expect in Manhattan!

Great location, great rooms, great price

From this hotel you can explore china town, little italy and soho walking... there are great restaurants around.
The metro station is few meters away from the front door. The metro station has elevator, so traveling with luggages from the airport is easy... though a long trip.
Restaurant Tip:
We went to little italy for dinner. We chose a random restaurant. The food was good but they charged 18% in tips in my bill.... that was too much. Besides that, it annoyed me that the waiter was constantly asking if we wanted something else... like if we want coffee just after the starter.
There is a pizza place not far away which claims to be the first one in America. The Pizza is quite unique, tasty and not expensive at all. Very much recommended: Lombardi's Pizza (firstpizza dot com)

The room was very small. It is on the corner of a street and it is very loud. It was like there wasn't any window. Noise-isolation was terrible.

The great thing about Hotel Azure is that Soho and Chinatown are both within walking distance; you have high-end shopping and fantastic authentic Chinese cuisine just around the corner. The subway is close by so you can quickly get to anywhere in the city and explore. The rooms are small, but they are clean with aesthetically modern decor. It's a very fine hotel for a quick weekend getaway to Manhattan, and I will seriously consider staying there again.

we spent the new year holiday 2012 in nyc, and we were very happy with hotel azure; the room was small, but neat (and amazingly quiet!), and the king size bed was wonderful.
the reception staff was very welcoming and service minded.
for this price range, we really recommend hotel azure.

Restaurant Il Cortile in Little Italy - very nice!

the hotel locates above canal station with "6" "q" "n" subway lines that makes tourists so easy to hang around the city. receptionists are very nice and helpful that let me check-in around noon without any extra charge. a room is a small but clean and designer's look. the rooms are faced to busy intersection, canal and lafayette, so if you care about noise, it's for sure noisy, but it didn't bother me at all. it's reasonable price and great location that is hard to find in manhattan.

decent alternative for the budget nyc traveler
clean, friendly-helpful staff, good access to subways, chinatown, little italy

noisy location at major intersection, compounded by broken window latch. minimal space-no closed or drawers for clothes storage. good proximity to subway stop but, unfortunately, this also means you feel subways rattle your room every few minutes. wi-fi free but so slow as to be unusable.
