Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Don't even think to book
Nothing is good in that 4 stars hotel
5
Don't even think to book that 4 stars hotel by his is maybe 2 stars.
The location is at the end of the world. A secret place.
When I arrived they told me that the Internet won't work for the weekend.
The breakfast is a bad joke.
This is a 2 stars hotel. A nice one. So the price should not be so high.
The noise of the ac system is disaster.
Don't book that hotel !

Chic, clean and affordable...with gorgeous views!!
The decor was fantastic! Right out of a magazine.
9.7
Hotel De Point did not disappoint...in fact it inspired. The modern details were so well done. The lobby is a work of art. The best part of the hotel is eating breakfast on the rooftop solarium taking in the spectacular view of Manhattan...the whole island! Simply amazing. I've already recommended it to my family and friends. Best hotel I've stayed in since the Broadmore in Colorado!! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up. Even my teenage kids were wowed by it...not an easy accomplishment!!!

Beautiful hotel but hard to find, great price
Beautiful, new and modern. Free breakfast served on the rooftop.
8.3
It was a little hard to find, but once we got there it was like oh my god. So new and modern, beautiful for the price we paid. Really comfortable. Wifi did not work on ipad, some employee did a quick fix and worked afterward but really slow. Took a couple of hours to download a show that usually takes less than 5 minutes and that was extremely stressful. Rooftop breakfast was beautiful and delicious. The fire alarm went off after midnight, my heart dropped we panicked, we saw the heads popping out of all the rooms. They said it was nothing afterward but the panick and stress, omg..
Hotel Feature Tip:
It's great if you're coming or going to the airport and you want a quiet and comfortable nights rest. Great beds, showers, nice lobby, great breakfast... I wouldn't recommend it for vacationing though.

No comment but the alarm that night did wake is up(around 1am). And if possible, can you add more options of food for the breakfast?
Shopping Tip:
There is a great super market down the hotel

The reason we have to stay was due to having no power and heat at our house because of hurricane Sandy, it was a bad situation that turned good with the beautiful rooms and nice service we got from the hotel employees
Restaurant Tip:
the restaurant on top of the hotel (skyview) had amazing views, delicious food and great service.

Nice, modern hotel...but weird parking attendants!
7.3
The hotel itself was nice and modern and in a relatively quiet area. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. Since it's a new hotel, all of the amenities were functional. There were absolutely no issues with the aesthetics and comfort at all.
Now to the not so good part. The hotel shares the same building as a Chinese supermarket and a couple of restaurants. If you've been to a Chinese supermarket, the car traffic is usually crazy. During most hours of the day, there are about 4-5 non-English speaking Chinese parking attendants who look like they're part of the Chinese triad. When I first pulled into the parking lot, they waved me over and asked me in Mandarin where I was going (I'm Chinese, by the way). I spoke to him in English that I was going to the hotel and he asked me to follow another guy. The other guy apparently didn't know of this and ignored me. So, I tried parking on my own. They soon waved me back. When he heard me speaking Cantonese to my family, he changed to Cantonese and told us that he would have to give us a parking pass and pay him a tip. I didn't really understand what this tip was for, but I knew they somehow had "control" of the parking lot. I didn't want my tires to be slashed, so I gave him $10. I was given spot #65 and was told that that was my spot. The spot was one of the farthest spots from the hotel entrance. Over the next few days, my spot would regularly be taken by other cars during the day time and I complained to the parking dude. His response was that it was too difficult to control in the daytime and that I had to find my own parking. So much for the "fee" that I paid for the parking spot. And of course, no one would park in my spot at night because it was at the other end of the lot. The hotel really need to get rid of these guys...I don't care if they pay them a few grand or what...it's really causing hotel residents a hassle. Either that, or they section off a part of the lot for hotel use only.
Hotel Feature Tip:
the shower stall has no door or any separation from the rest of the bathroom...it was very weird...be prepared for this.
