Wouldn't allow early check-in after flying all night. Room exceptionally small for the price. Few amenities. Service mediocre. Our first and last stay in this Hotel. It is over-priced, has poor and, in my opinion, substandard accommodations and amenities, and the only thing going for it was the location. I was dissatisfied from the moment we arrived until we departed.
Hotel Feature Tip : Don't expect much.

Location - just off times square
Very clean bathroom
Helpful staff Dated rooms, shabby condition - but hotel is undergoing renovation
No mini bar/working fridge We had a great four night stay at the Paramount, our second time at this hotel. Great rates through Agoda represented good value, if we'd have paid full rack rate we would have been disappointed.
As with any NYC hotel, the rooms are small, very small, but unlike other hotels we have stayed at on Manhattan there was a full size closet, ironing facilities in the room and enough space for two people to use the room comfortably (just!). Bathroom was very clean and the room generally was in good order.
The hotel is looking dated now, however, it is undergoing renovation so this may change.
If you are looking for a budget hotel and are willing to miss the luxuries of a four star chain hotel then the Paramount is a good option. It's location and cleanliness mean for a good NYC stay - after all you'll not be spending a great deal of time in your room.

Directions
From LaGuardia International airport take the Grand Central Parkway West towards the Triboro Bridge. Take the bridge towards Manhattan. Take the FDR Drive ramps and merge onto FDR Drive South. Take exit 8 towards the Midtown Tunnel (I-495 East/34th Street). Merge onto FDR Drive service road West. Turn left onto the E 39th and then right on Avenue Of The Americas-6th Ave. Then take W 46th street. The hotel is located between Broadway and 8th avenue.
