The staff are not smiling, no privacy,when using the only computer, which is located in front of reception.. No place for car parking, small place for breakfast,no body cleaning the tables, i cleaned it by my self

The location is not ideal, but if you have a car to move around, it is not a big deal. Also the room I stayed in was in the lower lever next to the door and it took forever for the room to get warm. Other than that i have no complaints

Affordable city break hotel in New York City!
Clean room, comfortable bed, convenience to 2 different subways, local grocery store for food and drinks, quiet but safe location.

We've been visiting NYC Feb/2013 for 10 days. We stayed in this hotel for 5 days...this is by far the best value hotel in NYC, recommended if you are travelling with a budget. The hotel staff are helpful. The place is fairly clean. The hotel room is good size, clean and very comfortable. Big TV screen, free internet in the bedroom or one computer available to use free in hotel hall. Plenty plugs sockets within the bedroom. Also be sure to ask for a high level city view room. Although there is no HOT breakfast, we found there are plenty bread, bagels, donuts, banana to eat and drink at breakfast (try to get your breakfast before 8am to avoid over crowding). Don't expect porters to carry your bags because there is non. Order Takeaways and get it deliver direct to your room.
About 15 mins walk to 2 Subway lines; 'F' line stop at 21 street-Queensbridge or 'N Q R' stops at Queensboro Plaza. Will stay in this hotel again when visit NYC again. All in all, a very nice hotel.

i called the hotel ahead of my reservation and to find out if they had on premises parking they stated that they did i guess they didnt understand what on premises parking meant. when we got there they told me parking was 3 blocks away, i would have been comfortable if the area was not semi residential and semi commerical and warehouses were all over the place. also the hotel stated that the had hbo no they don't the water was freezing cold we ran for 20 min and still was cold and it the tube backed up with water.the sheets had stains and no room service.

Good Staff but clumsy service

Staff in the hotel were overall friendly but I found out too many hairs in the room and a untidy basin. The location of the hotel is kind of outside of the main road but it seemed the street was not very dangerous (even though I was frightened when I saw a completely burned car on the street). Hotels around NY city are usually old unless you are willing to pay around. This hotel is decent among the hotels in NY city. I will give 3 out of 5 stars average.

- Unsatisfactory breakfast due to content and lack of space, consider it not included.
- Room is small, not as perceived from the picture.
- Walls are thin, depending on neighbours - noisy.
- Cleaning issue; no vacuum for 4 days, some of the towels were not new nor clean.
