Very basic hotel--shabby and tired.

Only one 3-prong outlet in room--had to choose between TV and a/c. Bedside lamp bulb broken into many shards of glass; carpets throughout very old and stained. Bathroom had a most unappealing odor (mold and rot)that kept me from showering; also, absolutely no place to put down toiletries--had to put in puddles on side of not-very-clean bathtub. Beds were comfortable enough, but the room lacked cross-flow of air (that is, it was stuffy)--had to keep (noisy)a/c on all night, although it was pleasantly cool outside.

It is terrible experience, it is like living in a dungeon. The room smells badly the first night. TV and Internet access were both not working. I will definitely not staying in this hotel again.

This hotel had very few amenities, the bedroom was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was basic but clean, though would benefit from shelves for toilet bags and towel rails. The reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the cleaning staff. If the hotel continues to work on upgrading the rooms it would be an excellent low budget base for visitors to Manhattan.

the hotel was what we expected for that price in NYC. small and old, but clean. we had a shared bathroom (lately renovated), also very clean and never occupied when we needed it!
first they wanted to give us a room with only one king sized bed (we ordered a twin room, me and my mum), then they wanted to give us a room with a bunk bed. at the third time going to the lobby he gave us what we wanted.. a twin bed room. it had a window and a small tv as well as a mini walk-in closet. the noise from the street was okey, but i would suggest bringing earplugs with you.
one day before we actually wanted to leave we had a note on the door that we where supposed to check out. but it was a mistake from agoda, so everything was fine and we could stay as long as we booked for. in total i would recommend royal park hotel for a stay if you are just there for sleeping.
