A little qurky, but a great affordable place.

Although the hotel seems in the middle of no where, it is really convenient to Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens places of interest. The rooms are large with a sitting room and full kitchen. The hotel offers no meal services, but there are some great restaurants within walking distance or a free Checker cab ride provided by the hotel. Free on-street parking is readily available - a huge plus in Brooklyn. An excellent value.

This is not a hotel, it is more of an apartment. No phone. No housekeeping every day. Not too close to transportation. You need to rely on their transportation service and schedule (if it snnows, there is no transportation)

Nice hotel but a bit out of town

lovely stylish room although a bit chilly. was a bit away from the subway but the hotel had a great free taxi service to drop off and pick you up which was great. only real con was that the door had trouble locking but given that the hotel had been under a few feet of water from hurricane sandy a few teething problems were to be expected. other than that no issues and you wouldn't even know the hurricane damage had occured. would recommend this great hotel.

From outside the hotel doesn't look much. It's in a former factory, with brick walls. The immediate location is unprepossessing, too - small factories and warehouses, and close to the Pulaski Bridge overpass. But it's actually a great place to stay. The rooms are very good - large with high ceilings and trendy decor, a comfortable bed, good bathroom and separate living area. The staff was also very helpful. And just a couple of blocks away from the hotel is the start of the Manhattan Ave shopping area, a predominantly Polish district, with good bakeries and a very good organic supermarket. Not many good restaurants in the vicinity but the hotel provides a handy guide. Getting to the 7 line for Manhattan involves a walk over the Pulaski bridge to the Vernon Avenue station or a walk down to the G line stop on Manhattan Ave and a transfer. Not good for anyone who doesn't like walking, but in most circumstances a great way to start the day. Worth noting that the room is not cleaned every day (also the bed not made every day), but this was no problem.
Travel tip:
Paczski (jam filled Polish donut, $1) at the old Polish bakery on Manhattan Ave. Milk and Roses charcuterie has good pasta.

New, unique and modern hotel / loft apartments

We had a pleasant stay in Box House Hotel, located in the further north Green Point area in Brooklyn, a bit distance to the hip Williamsburg, but still you can take a bus ( a little walk to the bus station, or better , is to take the ferry , a quick and scenery journey to get to all places, Williamsburg or Manhattan island ).
It has much larger space ( NY standard) than everywhere else, hence we booked it the first place, we had the loft with Terrance , although we didn't use the terrance much as it is facing the bridge across the road , you can see people passing, so not much view there.
A complete apartment rather than hotel in my opinion as it requires self maintain the cleanness of the room, no daily room service. It does feel like a new funky home away from home, I could imagine living there if moved to New York.
You can get food and water etc from nearby Deli / convenient store just turn to left corner on the street , or walk a few block to bigger stores , super market near India street. A few restaurants on the main street too.
Restaurant Tip:
On the left corner near the deli , there is a Mexican restaurant/ take away joint, good authentic Mexican food, we always go there to get a take away and eat at our loft . A cheap and delicious choice if you can't be bothered to eat out at Williamsburg , there are a few other restaurants seem good too in that neighbourhood.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Buy the 1 week metro card for only 30$ and you save alot of money!

Séjour agréable dans cet hôtel idéalement situé à Brooklyn. L'emplacement peut paraître peu pratique pourtant il n'est qu'à une dizaine de minutes d'une station de métro qui dessert en un arrêt la gare de Grand Central. Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée, très propre à notre arrivée. On regrettera qu'il n'y ait pas de baies vitrées, juste trois velus pour donner de la lumière. Salle de sport, sauna pour les loisirs. La cuisine permet de prendre son petit déjeuner ou de dîner le soir éventuellement après une grosse journée à arpenter les rues de New-York. Pas mal de petits restaurants sympas à proximité, la réception est de bon conseil. On a juste regretter le ménage un peu approximatif de notre chambre pendant le séjour et l'insonorisation entre les chambres, mais rien de bien méchant. Rapport qualité/ prix très correct.

O unico negativo do hotel foi a falta de cortinas que realmente bloqueassem a luz solar para dentro do quarto. Era impossível dormir até mais tarde nos dias em que se queria um pouco mais de descanso.
