Nothing special, in any sense. Rooms need to be redone. Window treatments are shabby. Sofa and chair were old and showed signs of wear.

This was my second stay at the Kitano. It's a lovely hotel in a great location and I'd stay there again next visit. The only thing is the hotel doesn't have 24-hour room serivce, only till 11:30pm. But there are plenty of places nearby that are open 24 hours.
Restaurant Tip:
Must try Serge at 165 Madison Avenue. Fabulous prix fixe menu, delicious food, generous portions and great value.

I have been staying at Kitano since 4 years ago. Kitano always offers good deal and the staff are curteous.
Travel tip:
Kitano is suitable for travellors who don't want fussy services.

The Kitano is a beautiful hotel conveniently located on Park Avenue just four blocks fron Grand Central. It is quiet, with an understated Japanese elegance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they found an available room for us even though we arrived early the morning of our reservation, several hours ahead of check-in time. The room (king bed) was large by NYC standards, with an extgremely comfortable bed and first-class linens and appointments.

Situé à Manhattan il se trouve à 7 minutes de marche de la gare Grand Central Station et tout près d'une station de métro. On peut manger américain et européen. Le soir, le bar-lounge propose de bons cocktails. L'hôtel dispose d'une salle de remise en forme.
