Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Our stay was amazing,
From doorman to housekeepers, everyone is friendly!!
Step outside and you have the subway running on your right,
you dont even have to cross the street!
42nd street is a few blocks away, this hotel is on 34th street.
Stay here if you want the best of the city in a short time

I could hear people outside my door as if they where in the room. I woke up every night as neighbors used their bathrooms. Non-existing sound proofing. Felt very cheep

Great Location but small rooms

We enjoyed our stay here at the New Yorker Hotel - very well situated - it's 3 mins walk to Madison Square Garden, maybe 5 mins walk to Empire State Building and Penn Station Subway is right beside the hotel. Restaurants are all over the area.. and Macy's is maybe a 5 min walk. Just beware of the doorman offering Private ride to the airport - driver offers a faster ride charging passengers with extra toll - better to take Yellow Taxis!
Shopping Tip:
Macy's is maybe just a 5 min walk.. old navy, victoria secret, gap - very near!

great location but small room.
the friendly and helpful staff before entering to the main lifts

Rooms are clean but small and the bathroom has no space to put the toiletries as we are 2 ladies in the room and we have makeup and stuff.
We had only one bad experience and it was with a waiter in the TICKTOCK Diner, late one night. He was rather rude when we complained that the soup were not up to standard.
All in all , it was a pleasant hotel and friendly staff. Very convenient to the theaters and plenty of eateries along the way.
Close to subway and PORT AUTHORITY.
Would not mind staying there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The theaters of course and that is why we chose this hotel.

Nice hotel, convenient location

We had booked two rooms, but the hotel had only reserved one (and was fully booked when we arrived). But luckily, after an hour, the problem was solved and they had found a second room for us. The rooms were nice, with two double beds. And the bathroom was small, but OK. We were pleasantly surprised that we didn't hear too much noise from the street. The area is not excactly cosy, but it was nice to be close to Times square, Empire State building etc.

It is what it is, value for money and small rooms

Don't bother with Tick Tock Diner. Both food and staff are below par.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Turn the shower on and leave it run for a good couple of minutes if not 5. It will get hot.
Don't look for bell hops or assistance and you save yourself a couple of bucks in tipping on arrival and departure.
