The hotel is very well located, however, rooms are extremely noisy. You can hear everything that happens on Lexington Avenue.

Great location, room space is good, and I love the bit of a classic style of room decoration.
Free wifi is helpful, staff were very lovely, and nice little bar near the lobby.

Like a step back in time
Location was good. Junior suite was nicely sized.

We were pleased with our stay at the Roger Smith Hotel. I appreciate all of the older furniture, making it feel kind of like stepping back in time. The one thing that should not have been so old, though, were the rugs. They had definitely seen better days, and could stand to be replaced. Room was generally clean.

Roger Smith is an old-time New York hotel with charming rooms (complete with own little library) and friendly vibe. Good value and way better than the generic midtown hotels

Manhattan hotels are very expensive and so is this hotel too. I have no experience of other hotels, but for this price I waited a little bit more higher quality of rooms. Our room was quite old (I guess all are same in this hotel), air conditon machine was so noisy, that I have to shut it down for nights and windows' noise isolation was so poor that I could hear people talking on the street. Hotel also didn't have luggage room to keep our extra luggage for couple of days.
Restaurant Tip:
We loved to go to Starbucks every day, because of free wifi and good coffee
