Small rooms but the comfy beds

We picked a bad time to stay. Road works outside and renovations upstairs. The hotel staff moved us around to try to avoid most of the noise but the disruptions were unavoidable. The hotel is close to Soho shoppping district so thats good. The beds are comfy and the shower was excellent. If you get a good price it would be a good place to stay if they weren't renovating. Nice staff though and they were apologetic about the disruptions.
Shopping Tip:
Good coffee at Saturdays NYC on Crosby Street. It's a surf shop, but if you're from Melbourne and you like lates, order a cappucino here and it will be what you are after.

about 3 minutes walk to subway station, nearby the hotel there are many bars and restaurants, so it is good to have fun night life there!

Ik heb een heerlijke week gehad in New York. Het hotel was perfect en ik zou er zo weer heengaan. De locatie is super goed. Het ligt midden in Soho en er zijn erg veel eettentjes, cafés en bakkerijtjes in de buurt. Het hotel is schoon, het personeel is vriendelijk, de kamer is netjes en ruim. Niets op aan te merken.

Lovely small hotel
small hotel, fantastic staff. Nothing was a problem for them !!. I love the fact you can open a window rather than have to have the a/c on.

smallish room but what do you expect in nyc and there is so much to see and do in nyc that it's a waste to spend it in the room !. a great position - fantastic cafes, restaurants and breakfast spots very close by. an iron and ironing board is in room plus you can get ice from the ground floor. the staff are fantastic !. i would happily return to the solita hotel.

the solita hotel is small and maybe a little dated in parts, but i found everything to be clean and it had all the services/amenities i required (although a small fridge in the room would be a nice added extra!) it's perfectly sufficient for a comfortable stay in nyc, where you're likely to be out of the room most of the time anyway! internet is free which is great, although it was a bit slow at peak times, and the room was surprisingly quiet for nyc which was great. all in all, everything i needed without having to pay for more frills!

ideal to be in the heart of the ny action while still very close to the local and more retrieved charming places where locals get their coffee and organic foods. two minutes from the subway to go all around the city during the day and great choice of restaurants within the immediate surroundings of the hotel at night. clean room, small. very friendly staff.
