It was quite old building. But you can feel old NY life there. the building is too old. the elevator often stops. I can recommend it if you prefer more privacy than hostel. But not recommend it if you prefer to stay at normal hotel.

We arrived one hour late due to plane delays, and our room which was reserved weeks in advance was given away. They moved us to another building eight blocks away. The desk staff was hardly helpful, the conditions of sleeping were absolutly filthy. The community bathroom was riddled with clumps of hair in the drain. I do not advise anyone or anything to stay here.
