Very helpful receptionists; lovely hot breakfast; 2 double beds in room; flat screen TV with inhouse movies (still showing in theaters); lots of towels in ensuite; plenty of hot water; cute bathtub; fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, Internet connection. Great instant heating system.
Volume on TV perfect, not loud enough for inhouse movies. Pillows very hard; no milk available in room (many guests like to have milk in their coffee); maybe an ordinary kettle for tea would be an asset, instead of just a coffee-maker? Any problems were instantly solved by helpful receptionist or housekeeping staff.
Very central hotel, right beside 7th Avenue entrance to Maceys. Lovely cooked breakfast, eat as much as you like. Fast elevator to 15th floor. Lovely small bar with very friendly staff. Bedroom has everything necessary, cleaned every day (up to 16.30 p.m.), plenty of soft white towels. Quiet room, seems to be soundproof! Yellow cabs always available at corner of street - perfect for first time visit to New York.
Hotel Feature Tip : Great hotel policy of not charging if a problem can't be resolved. Volume on inhouse movies wasn't loud enough to hear, so receptionist cancelled charge for same with an apology - very helpful. fulfilling hotel's written promise.
