Large room; big handicap bath with nice features;
Free Hi-Speed Internet service; clean; friendly service people; kitchenette was very handy; good array of available TV channels; free movie DVDs available at desk
Beds were too soft-needed a firm mattress for physical condition (reason for the handicapped room). Wanted to switch to room with a firmer mattress, but was told that all beds were the same, and were due for new mattresses in 2009.
Air conditioning unit was loud and forced air straight up between curtain and window, instead of out into the room (most places are set up the same and this is very inefficient); difficult to get to, but this is an issue mainly in the Norman~Moore, OK area Interstate and frontage road set up.
The staff was very accommodating, and all the shift changes presented the same friendliness. If you have a physical condition that requires a firm mattress, wait until 2009, when they're scheduled to replace all beds. Ours was very soft, and for us not as we needed. It was very quiet in the room and hallways at all times night and day. The clientel were mostly families and retired couples lending a nice friendly atmosphere. There's a 24/7 non-chain restaurant across the parking lot. You might ask for directions from the staff as to the best ways to access Candlewood, as the Interstate and frontage roads have to accommodate increased population in this area. We found it a good, clean, safe place to stay with a frige, microwave, stove top, dishes, utensils, and a dishwasher.
Shopping Tip : Many stores and restaurants are within 5-10 minutes.
