Bathroom was horrible. Hotel needs makeover. Hotel corridors smell musty. Hotel staff not helpful. This hotel was overpriced and in need of a major overhaul. It was on the phlash line only benefit.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : close to Eastern state penitary and museum mile. Zorba greek restaurant was good and spring garden deli was good. Both walking distance from hotel.

front desk, housekeeping, maintenance of rooms rooms could use refurbishing. A small frig would also be nice, not enought TV stations, front desk not responsive to requests. Housekeeping ok, but forgot towels. location of hotel is great, price was reasonable. Did not have chance to use pool--air conditioning worked well. Shower was hot and full stream.
Hotel Feature Tip : Rodin Museum is just across the street. Don't miss it; also, WaWa convenience store is across the street

Location; price; friendliness of staff; good-sized rooms. window screens are rickety; tub drains slowly. Great location for the Philadelphia Art Museum. Good coffee and deli just up the street in the little strip mall. Very easy and frequent bus service to the Philadelphia Historical District. Beds are nice and soft. Plenty of pillows. A fun adjacent pub with a lively pool table. This is an older facility, so don't expect the latest amenities. But it's great value for the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the #48 bus right across the street from the hotel to the downtown area; get off at Market and 5th. The bus goes every 12 minutes or so and is a fun ride. If you need a taxi, there are plenty that park out front. But you can easily walk to the Art Museum.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to downtown Philadelphia, so everything is walking distance. Nice place to eat around.

cheap - I got discount from this website
convinent - they have their own restraunt and bar
friendly - staff are good
parking - spacious
air conditioner was loud.
winter time is cold because the wind can sneak throught the window.
Have to wait long to get hot water in the early monring. I think for a one night stay, it will be a good choice. It is cheap, a biggest advantage. If you try to stay long, you need to think twice.

For its location in downtown Philly, the Best Western City center is a great deal. Its not a super fancy hotel, but it works. The restaurant did have a strange odor, but the room was fine. Also, great water pressure in the shower.

Cheap, well maintained, fairly close to sights and good food. Old, gloomy, A/C works well but is loud. This place was about half the price of other places in the area. Still close enough to the sights to be useful. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful.
The hotel is old and somewhat gloomy. It is not a destination hotel but a good place to sleep at the end of the day. The air conditioner worked well but was loud and squeaky. The front desk had maintenance check it out but told us that all of the rooms A/C's suffered from this problem. Maintenance couldn't make the A/C quieter.
To get to many of the sights, be prepared to walk about 20 minutes (nice walk) or ride the bus (right in front of hotel) or call a cab. You are extremely close to the museum of art, the park and the Rodin museum at this location though.
Restaurant Tip : There is a great diner for breakfast right behind the hotel (the banana pancakes are great!) and just down the street is some fantastic pizza at Pete's Famous Pizza Restaurant.

I would definitely stay here again for the price and convenience. It wasn't a "perfect" hotel but well worth the price.
