Nice location but overpriced and outdated

This hotel was a good place to stay, especially for New Year's Eve. Everywhere we went was within walking distance of the hotel: restaurants, bars, clubs, and museums. The negative aspects of this hotel stem primarily from the room rate. Our one night stay was VERY pricey (about $260/night), which was presumably a factor of it being so central to all the new year's eve festivities in downtown Raleigh. I don't mind paying for a premium space, but if I'm paying more than $200/night in NC, I expect the rooms to have at least a refrigerator and an updated bathtub. Sadly, there was no refrigerator and the tub was clearly cheap and outdated. Parking was also an additional $12 per night. Lastly, my companion and I were disturbed by a knock from room service (which we didn't order) at a very inconvenient time. How hard is it to remember a room number if your job is to deliver food?? Basically, I wouldn't return to the Sheraton. Next time I'm in Raleigh I'll fork out an extra $50 somewhere else where the amenities are actually worth it.
