I stayed at the 500 West Hotel to attend a conference held at the San Diego Conference Center (SDCC). It was a pleasant 20 minutes walk from the hotel to the Center and I also enjoyed the good location of the hotel that was within the walking distance both from the Gas-light District and Embarcadero. Trolley station was right behind (American Plaza Square) by which I could visit the old town for dinner. Communal bath room was well managed and a sophisticated key technology enabled to avoid annoyance of being knocked (or worse intruded) during use of the unisex facilities. They were also kept very clearn. Room was far from large but for a conference participants like me it was enough because at the end of the days all I wanted to do in the room was to sleep.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The USS Midway Museum was a 10 minutes walk from the hotel and it was really a must-see! As a foreigner, it was interesting to know behind the scene of one of the most prominent strategic military artifact that truely changed the course of the world's history (oops, I am not convinced to join Navy, though).
