Clean, location, price, service On major road (but you don't notice once inside) This hotel is great. It is close to everything: 15 minutes from downtown San Diego and 10 minutes from the airport. I believe it's near Sea World too, but we didn't go. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating even though we had some issues with our reservation. The rooms were clean and on par with most Comfort Inn's we've been to. The breakfast bar was nice with enough tables to accommodate the morning traffic and two waffle irons. We didn't visit the pool, but it didn't look particularly inviting. The neighborhood seemed quite safe too. Also, it turns out that this hotel is right next door to the original "Rubio's Taco", which (according to Frommer's) made famous the Fish Taco popular in Southern California. It is across the road from a "7-Eleven" and just a couple of traffic lights from an "In & Out". There was also a Japanese and Thai restaurant across the road (but we didn't visit).
All in all, we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this place to anyone seeking a good value and comfortable hotel in San Diego.
