cheap, friendly staff, internet for free

furnitue, linnen, bath towels etc. everything was stained and/or torn - materials frequently changed but generally in bad condition, mould in bathroom the room was large but stank (also not worn clothes had to be washed afterwards)...breakfast is to be self-served with disposable cutlery, something was always missing, e.g., knifes, butter internet only works in the lobby

the hotel has clearly seen better times. it seems that it has not seen any modernization or refurbishments for several decades. The condition everything is in is accordingly bad. Staff is however friendly and helpful. Cleaners also seem to do a rather good job. However, if the room has taken on a stink over several years, if towels and sheets are torn and stained, if the bathroom tub has lost most of each lacquer and the the bathroom walls are covered in mould, all superficial cleaning does not make the stay a comfortable one. The additional services offered (internet and breakfast) are nice additions but in particular the breakfast is served in such a cheap way (offer always minimal, sometimes essentials such as butter missing, have to use plastic cutlery) in a cold room that one rather does without it.

its in the heart of San Francisco, beside the City Hall, walking distance to the shopping malls in union Square and best of all walking Distance to the world famous cable cars

its in the downtown so its quite noisy but after long day of shopping around you're too tired to notice it, its kind of an old place and old style and very limited space, some of the paints are peeling off the wall but totally its clean, oh and there is no airconditioning but u dont really need it in bay area due to cold weather

Pleasant staff and accomodating, if u just need a place to sleep comfortably and clean, I'll definitely stay here again, near to everything, to the shopping malls, restaurants, late night snacks... Walking distance to everything!!! Convenient valet parking the whole day, though not a good place to stay if you're planning to hole up in the room and relax for the weekend, its for people who are on the go and not picky, good and fresh continental breakfast is included which is quite nice for late sleepers... Very good price for San francisco hotel...

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : its just walking distance in union square dont miss the ride in famous cable car, the best part of our trip

This hotel has a lot of potential however it is showing age and appears not to be maintained. If you are looking for a basic room (and nothing more), it is value for money. Personally, if I were to stay in San Francisco again, I would stay at Fisherman's Wharf, north of the Central Financial District.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : San Francisco is an amazing and tourist-friendly city. For US$18 you can purchase a 3-day transport pass (or US$11 for 1-day) which gives you unlimited transport on the MUNI system which includes the historic cable cars. Highly recommended due to the city's terrain! Shopping at Macy's is fantastic!

Recommended for budget-minded travellers or someone who needs just a place to sleep in.

Hotel Feature Tip : They offer free wireless Internet, but signal was week on the upper floors. However, you can get better connection in the reception area.

Clean around the water. In Europe there is a nutty feel like the whole hotel. The key point I was not modern.

Because very little of the elevator opened and closed manually (but it was an interesting experience.)

The room is narrow enough and I do not think the United States. What hotels are the same size and similar level in Europe? Thought. The rooms are decorated with lovely antiques, I feel like a hotel in Paris, including the narrowness of the room. Experience is a good amenities. You can eat a simple breakfast in the lobby next. The elevator door opens and closes without my suitcase is a little hard because there is not, it was a new experience was interesting. Metro Station Kura Kon, I think a convenient location to do without them difficult.
