Nice city hotel with some downsides.

The hotel is a good option in an expensive city although there is no mention of the $35 a day that they charge for car parking. The area itself is fine, however the walk to the start of a typical tourist day was quite unnerving for my two children. The area of Market Street just north of the hotel is an area frequented, by the homeless, the addicted and their dealers. To be offered hard drugs whilst walking with my family was not something I appreciated. We did come up with a way in and out of the area during our second stay which made everyone more comfortable. The hotel itself was fine, clean and safe. We did not eat at the hotel however there was a bar that was frequented by some local characters that was worth visiting.

The room and bed is somewhat smaller..
Location and Price is OK.

We stay in a family room with 2 adult and 3 children. The two main bed is somewhat too small even for two kids to sleep. However, the sofa-bed is big enough for 3 kids to sleep together.

actually we are hopping this hotel is much better, because the money that we paid is equal to a four stars hotel in SF. The room is very clean and not too small. Service is okay but everything else in the hotel is kind of old. If the price is cheaper, we may come back and stay here again. oh AC is cold.

Check-in staff were efficient and courteous. Lobby entrance is small but adequate and modern. Big modern and clean rooms at a good value pricepoint are the biggest selling point. Gym is small but functional - don't forget to call the front desk to ask for the code access number before heading there as you cannot get in using your room card. There are 2 computers in the lobby next to the elevator for you to surf as well as a bar, casual diner, and reading/game room.

Friendly staff but not so nice location

the hotel room was not large but the decor was very modern and interesting. the staff was friendly. the location is in a somehow not so nice part of town: there are many drunks and homeless folks loitering around. one night some other hotel guests were very loud and making noise at 2am, and after not able to reach the front desk staff, i had to call the police. close walking distance to bus stops and subway station was a plus.
