Great location within easy walking distance to the major attractions, very comfortable and clean room, very nice seating area by the fire, complimentary wine tasting, right next door to Cafe Pescatore - recommned you eat there at least once, Valet parking very expensive, small room We had a great stay here. Very clean and comfortable rooms but it was a bit small. The lcoation can not be beat as it is right next to all the major attractions. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. The restaurant right next door is very good. Enjoyed the complimentary coffee and newsapaper in the morning. All in all a very nice place and would definitely recommend. Only draw back was the parking. Suggest you park in the public garage right next door is you do not plan on using your car during your stay
Restaurant Tip : Can't beat the Prix Frix at Cafe Pescatore, the in house restaurant.

The hotel is in the heart of the Fisherman's Wharf area and within walking distance of Cobb's Comedy Club and the Columbus Street neighborhood. They had a wine tasting from 5-6 in the comfortable and cozy lobby and the room with double beds was nicely decorated and comfortable for our family. When I arrived, I had a standard room with 2 beds reserved, but they had assigned me one bed, unacceptable as I was with my son. With a little convincing, they did upgrade me to a room w/ 2 beds. Great value for price and fun wine tasting in the lobby near the fireplace from 5-6 PM. Excellent location near Fisherman's Wharf within easy walking distance to Cobb's Comedy, Italian restaurants, and other historic neighborhoods nearby off Columbus.
Restaurant Tip : The restaurant adjacent to the hotel had the BEST crusted sea bass.

- close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf (pier 39)
- Restaurant is very good
- clean, spacious rooms
- friendly service - rooms across from parking deck subject to nightly riot-like noise (bottles breaking, cursing, fighting, etc)..local club?
- Valet parking VERY expensive Best part of this hotel was it's close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39) and it's spotless, spacious rooms. Restaurant is excellent as well with a decent wine selection.
Beware if your room is across from the Parking deck (North Point Blvd?). Every night around 3am it sounds as if there is a riot going on outside (local club closing for the night?). In any event, the neighborhood around the hotel seemed a bit unsafe in the late evening. During the day and early evening when there are alot of tourists around it is fine.
I am giving the hotel a "Satisfied" rating because of the service and the overall hotel experience, however the early morning noise/activity is very concerning and would discourage me from walking around at night.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the Alcatraz evening tour - alot of fun roaming around the sight in the evening

• Take the 101 North towards San Francisco
• Take 280 North towards Downtown San Francisco
• Exit at King Street
• Follow King Street past Pacific Bell Park where King Street becomes Embarcadero
• Continue down the Embarcadero staying in the middle lane.
• Turn Left onto Bay Street
• Turn Right onto Mason Street
• Turn Left onto North Point Street, the hotel is on the left side in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf!

From East Bay via the Bay Bridge:
• Take 80 West to San Francisco, crossing the Bay Bridge
• Exit Harrison Street/Embarcadero, this exit is on the left side
• At the bottom of the exit, turn Right onto Harrison Street
• At the end of Harrison Street, take a Left onto Embarcadero
• Continue down Embarcadero staying in the middle lane
• Turn Left onto Bay Street
• Turn Right onto Mason Street
• Turn Left onto North Point Street, the Tuscan Inn is on the left
