- close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf (pier 39)
- Restaurant is very good
- clean, spacious rooms
- friendly service - rooms across from parking deck subject to nightly riot-like noise (bottles breaking, cursing, fighting, etc)..local club?
- Valet parking VERY expensive Best part of this hotel was it's close proximity to Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39) and it's spotless, spacious rooms. Restaurant is excellent as well with a decent wine selection.
Beware if your room is across from the Parking deck (North Point Blvd?). Every night around 3am it sounds as if there is a riot going on outside (local club closing for the night?). In any event, the neighborhood around the hotel seemed a bit unsafe in the late evening. During the day and early evening when there are alot of tourists around it is fine.
I am giving the hotel a "Satisfied" rating because of the service and the overall hotel experience, however the early morning noise/activity is very concerning and would discourage me from walking around at night.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the Alcatraz evening tour - alot of fun roaming around the sight in the evening

Concierge expertise. Cleanliness - excellent housekeeping. Location. Bathroom area is a bit small. The hotel is in a great area and is itself very nice. The concierge was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I stayed eight nights and the room was always cleaned thoroughly by housekeeping everyday. Furthermore, I would encourage visitors to utilize the great public transportation that is available on the hotel block. The only drawback is the small size of the bathroom. Two people in this area at once is a bit of a challenge. In short, I would recommend this hotel for its concierge, cleanliness, and location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : From this point you can reach any part of the city easily with public transportation.

Nice location closing to Fisherman's warf. Hotel accomodation look poor and old a bit. You can find a lot of restaurant arround the hotel. We have been served of free wine in evening at hotel lobby. It was excelent taste of Calfornia brewaries. There is 24 hours open super market at next door and a lot of suveior shops within 2-3 minutes walk. We will come back to stay.
Restaurant Tip : Itarian seefood restaurant is located with the Hotel.

From the South and San Francisco International Airport:
• Take the 101 North towards San Francisco
• Take 280 North towards Downtown San Francisco
• Exit at King Street
• Follow King Street past Pacific Bell Park where King Street becomes Embarcadero
• Continue down the Embarcadero staying in the middle lane.
• Turn Left onto Bay Street
• Turn Right onto Mason Street
• Turn Left onto North Point Street, the hotel is on the left side in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf!

From East Bay via the Bay Bridge:
• Take 80 West to San Francisco, crossing the Bay Bridge
• Exit Harrison Street/Embarcadero, this exit is on the left side
• At the bottom of the exit, turn Right onto Harrison Street
• At the end of Harrison Street, take a Left onto Embarcadero
• Continue down Embarcadero staying in the middle lane
• Turn Left onto Bay Street
• Turn Right onto Mason Street
• Turn Left onto North Point Street, the Tuscan Inn is on the left
