This hotel is well located, near the Financial District and China Town, and close to the California Street cable car. The room was decorated in earth tones, and attractive. The room had only one chair; two would be appreciated for two people sharing the room. The Financial District Hilton Hotel has an efficient entrance for shuttles and cabs, with a
helpful staff. It weas easy to make return shuttle reservations to the airport. The lobby is small, but has a wine bar (which becomes a coffee bar at breakfast,and a good breakfast buffet in one of the restaurants. There is a fire and flame feature at the restaurant/bar entrance, and orchids and flowers in planters.
The best attraction of this hotel is its location.
Travel tip : if the superb Empress of China Restaurant is your destination, walk out of the Hilton Hotel, right to the corner north of the park, up one block to Walter U. Lum Place, and through the Chum Imports store to elevators that will take you to the 6th floor restaurant entrance.
