Great hotel with wireless internet that worked!

The hotel itself was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The wireless internet was important to us and we had absolutely no problems over the eight days we were here. We were attending a nearby conference and this hotel suited us well. The only negative was the number of homeless on the streets immediately around the hotel. However we didn't feel unsafe, it was just a little depressing when you walked around.

Comfortable stay but bad location

The hotel is comfortable and the major spot, Union Sq. is just a 10-min walk distance. That staff are nice and helpful.
The area, esp. the portion of Market Street where the hotel is located, is smelly and full of beggars asking for pennies. They are rather active at night. But as long as you ignore them, they seem to be not "harmful". If you walk to Union Square, They are cleaner, probably because of their residential functions.
By the way, there is a Burger King, which closes in Midnight, next to the hotel. Most of shops are dead after 9pm.
Shopping Tip:
Things in the little store down in the lobby are expensive.

should renovate rooms as the bed is hard and the carpeting is very old and worn out. the furniture is in bad condition. the patio door can barely be opened so i couldn't get unto the balcony. the balcony overlooks a boring roof with some old patio furniture on it. the only pace holiday inn bothered to spend money on was the reception and dining area, of which i do not have any complains
Shopping Tip:
avoid chinatown as it is depressng and filled with beggars. the prices are a rip off. if you are looking for chinese food, chinatown is not the place to go. i recommend spending your time at the ferry terminal where they have preserved it and turned it into a market hall and food hall. it is very interesting

第一次到旧金山，当时网上订的房间，前台还给我们换了双人间，觉得很好，政策很灵活，不像有些酒店很死板，服务还是很周到人性化的。房间的设施也不错，卫生条件也不错。

房间不是很大，设施嘛什么的挺全的，那种大大的液晶电视，收到的节目挺多的，真是很给力呢 床上用品一天一换，比较干净，上面还散发的一种清新的味道，睡在上面休息得很好，住得挺舒适的

Příjemné bydlení na konferenci
Prostorný pokoj, balkon, ze kterého je možno fotografovat, kromě pracovního stolu bylo v pokoji ještě malé sofa. Velmi vstřícný personál na recepci.

Hotel má velmi dobré umístění několik desítek metrů od hlavní třídy - Market Street - a také od stanice metra a povrchové dopravy. Pokoje jsou prostorné, čisté, klimatizace funguje i pro mírné zvýšení teploty. Snídaně se podává dostatečně brzo, aby obchodní a konferenční návštěvníci nebyli v časové tísni, a obsluha při snídani je výkonná a rychlá. Personál je velmi vstřícný a sám nabídne i levnější variantu, například shuttle bus místo taxíku nebo zkopírování CD na flashdisk na recepci místo placeného počítače v Bussiness centru.
