Centrally Located
The location close to Union Square. The rooms are small as you would expect from a hotelof this age. We had a room on the 6th floor at the rear of the hotel and it was quiet.

This hotel is easy to reach formthe airport using the BART rail system to Powell Street station. The route is 3 blocks slightly uphill to the hotel. Go on You Tube to see how to buy the tickets- its easy!

Fine. They were unable to give us the double room we booked, so comped our parking for two nights - saving us $65! Location is fabulous - great theatre and restaurants in close walking distance. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is definitely worth the money I paid for.
Very convenient location for shopping and sightseeing, and hotel staff were very friendly and kind.
One drawback is noise.
I could hear the next door talking through the wall in addition to the outside noise.
If it bothers, bring ear plugs!

Good design but small rooms

Very convenient, close to downtown and shopping malls. However, the rooms are quite small. The bed is not big too. Quite expensive due to a number of conferences in San Francisco at that time.

King George is value for money. It is at Union Square, which is near the best shopping places and restaurants in downtown San Francisco. Good English-speaking staff. The rooms are average as they could be cleaner. I saw strands of hair on my bed when I arrived during my first night. If your room doesn't have a working desk/table, you will need to request for one. Good thing the hotel has very good staff. The hotel is about 100 years old and the elevator is slow. Still, all things considered, King George is value for money.
