Excellent location and Pablo is a very competent and helpful concierge.

1. Overpriced ($20.00) breakfast buffet with good quality food that has been ruined and is not hot because it is prepared far ahead of the time it is served. 2. Poor bellman service; they stood by and watched on two occasions, once while my wife and myself handled suitcases and again when I carried a heavy box from a cab. 3. While the regular concierge, Pablo, is very good, the others are lazy and put little effort into taking care of the guests. 4. For a Marriott, the rooms are very small.

As a big fan of the Marriott system, I was left wanting. Other than having a good location about 2 blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, this Marriott is nothing more than an overpriced version of a run-of-the-mill hotel. The other big-name hotels in the immediate area are probably a better bet.
