We recently stayed at the Hotel Nikko for a wedding we were attending in the area. You couldn't ask for a better location, close to cable cars, shopping, and restaurants. The room was quite large for San Francisco, and the amenities were top notch. We will definately stay at the Hotel Nikko again.
Great location, nice sized rooms, HUGE flat screen tv, great service

- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Catch a ride on the cable cars early before they fill up! Waits were in excess of 2 hours after 11 am.

Right in Union Sq, the hotel was in a fantastic location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautiful with gorgeous fountains and elegant decor. The room was very small, but I'm guessing it's because it's one of the bargain rooms assigned to discount websites like this one. Had I paid full retail price I would have been dismayed but it was well worth the price I got through Agoda. I had reserved the room for 2 nights, but due to a flight change, I was unable to make it for the first night. I understood the cancellation policy and knew I would not be able to be refunded for that first night but I had hoped perhaps the staff at the Nikko would be compassionate and grant me something complimentary or perhaps a discount on parking. They unfortunately could not do anything for me. That was a little disheartening.
Elegant lobby, nice selection of toiletries, excellent location.
Room was tiny. It was a good deal for the discounted rate I got but had I paid full price I would have felt ripped off. Also, parking is astronomical at $40/day.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do the GoCar tour of the city which is at the kiosk around the corner from the hotel!

Friendly staff allowed us to check in early as we arrived 3 hrs b4 check-in time. The hotel was in a great location, where transit directly from the SF airport was only a BART ride away off Powell Station. Great location for shopping and eating by Union Square. The size of the room and bed were great! very comfortable
Easy to find, right off the Powell BART station. This hotel had friendly staff and great location to Union Square
a little bit pricy but worth the $
