Friendly staff, large rooms, small kitchens attached to rooms.
Hair-dryer worked intermittently.
From arrival to departure the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel's lift is 'manual' so is constantly staffed, which is quite fun and saves time too!
The rooms were nice and big and comprised four 'sub' rooms; bathroom, dressing room, bedroom and kitchen. All were clean and tidy with good fixtures and fittings.
We got chocolates on our pillows twice, but weren't lucky enough to get them a third time!

Wonderful old hotel, beautifully maintained. The elevator is the first ever built in DC and is operated by staff--no buttons! I wanted to go up and down just to look at all the details. If you get to Lombardy, take a look at the grate on the ceiling. It's hand carved wood fastened together with dowels. Just amazingly beautiful.
The bar is cozy, but small, and the bartenders are friendly and reasonably skilled.
The 'fitness center' has only two treadmills, a stairmaster, and two elipticals. No weights, resistance, balls, etc. Very minimal if you like to keep up your program while on the road.
This is a great hotel in an area that has plenty of medium and upper priced restaurants. The staff is wonderful and they provide free ethernet connections in the room.
Restaurant Tip : There is a nice italian restaurant practically next door.

everything was ok with this hotel. The staff was helpful and the internet was very fast and free.The room service was ok but was very expensive along with the room.
