Great location south of the Mall.
Metrorail station located at L'Enfant Plaza - VERY EASY AND CONVENIENT
La Promenade level eateries only open during Business Hours, most closed by 5pm. Closed weekends. The hotel did have their own 2 restaurants available.
Check in and out was fast and easy. We loved the convenient location of this hotel, as it was within walking distance to the Mall area. It was great having the Metrorail station just beneath the hotel/plaza area. Front desk personel were friendly and tried to please despite being overwhelmed at times. (We were there during the Cherry Blossom Festival) Our room refrigerator died and was not able to be replaced for 2 days, and was told there were no spares available for replacement. A fire alarm emergency sounded one night so we had to evacuate - fortunately it was a false alarm. Some people were angry that the hotel manager did NOT come out to speak to the guests during the evacuation to keep us informed on the situation. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because it was comfortable and conveniently located.
Hotel Feature Tip : Ask for a coffeemaker to be placed in your room.

- Location is great. Probably the only reason the Hotel survives
- No Customer service. Customer is a necessary evil. Not a friendly hotel !!
- Hotel was old and not upgraded
- Pool was enclosed with a tent
- Fire alarm went off several times...no customer communication
Hotel is in a great location, but it is poorly managed. There appears to be an environment of the hotel staff is doing you a favor by letting you stay. I didn't mind it too much, but my family went completely unattended for the entire stay. I would not stay there again...too many better run alternatives for the money.
Hotel Feature Tip : Metro system is great...no need to stay at this poorly managed facility. Better alternative on the Metro lines

Central location, friendly
This hotel is very centrally located, so the mall was easy to reach, but also the other attractions could be reached directly by metro to the hotel well. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The breakfast was very rich and good, there have even been considered special requests. Very refreshing was the swimming pool on the roof, which was also open into the evening hours.
