I was impressed at the price, having stayed at many five star establishments over my lifetime, I had yet to stay at any of the Mandarin Oriental properties. The deal on Agoda was too good, so I booked and was generally very happy with the property, I just wasn't overly impressed and expected to be. My recommendation - if you can get half price on the rooms like I was lucky enough to do, you should definitely stay, but I wouldn't pay full price to stay here.
Great location, great service, excellent drinks at the main bar, decent food at Cafe, and great bed.
None, just not particularly amazing.

If you're spending the weekend on a social visit, I think this is a good choice It's near the mall and a lot of the monuments. If you want to be near the nightlife, say Georgetown, you might want to consider some other places. That being said, it's a short cab ride to most parts of the city.
I had a very nice double bed room with a view of the Jefferson Memorial. The TV in the room was not a flat screen, but it doesn't really bother me. Check in and check out were a breeze. The beds were very comfortable. Mandarin Orientals are known for their lavish bathrooms, and this one was no exception.
The lobby is fairly attractive. The bar there is a nice place to grab a drink. All in all, I think I'll probably stay there again if I'm in DC.
Great Rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Lavish bathroom.
I thought room service could have been a little faster, but it wasn't too bad.
