Great staff, very helpful. At check in I make a special request to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel sent a gift to her. Our children and grandchildren stayed in the hotel also. The hotel had welcome gifts for them. A + all the way.
Travel tip : lots of family friendly restaurants close by.

Rooms - small.
Daytime Concierge service - terrible. I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions and wasn't expecting much based upon past experiences. I wasn't disappointed. Concierge could not find a box which was critical to my meetings until the meetings were over. It was signed into the hotel 12 hours before it was located. Personal delivery by the General Manager helped, but was too little too late. My accommodations were small; but at least I didn't see a mouse, this time.
Restaurant Tip : Nice variety of restaurants within walking distance.

Hotel was impressive as far as look and feel. Even though I was moved to another hotel, it was handled in a very professional manner. I really can not think of any other than if a party has paid for a room... Do not resell the room. The hotel was over booked resulting in me being moved to another hotel. Even though I booked through you and FULLY paid in advance I still did not get my rooms.

Nice lobby We had our 22 year old son with us. the suite was perfect for the three of us. Ate in the restaurant it was excellent. Comedian in the lounge on Monday was very funny. Staff all very friendly. Location was good for us. Cafe across the street perfect for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully restored hotel with lush lobby, containing ample seating in sofas and pretty oriental rugs. Spacious, clean rooms. Fee to use fitness center and have in room wireless internet access. The Omni Shoreham hotel is a beautiful hotel that has been restored to its original roots. The lobby is lush, with ample seating in sofas and pretty oriental rugs. Everyone associated with the hotel was polite and ready to assist in any manner. There was a wide variety of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice property, helpful staff and nice installations in general. Carpets in the room could stand an updating, but it's a minor point. The location for some could be a bit far from downtown, but the metro is very close. Nice property, grand scale. The staff is well trained, polite and welcoming. I was in a non-smoking room with a king-sized bed, which was extremely comfortable. Room size was ample, bathroom large, and the personal amenities (soap, shampoo etc.) of good quality and replaced as needed by the staff. The housekeeping staff pleasant and very efficient. They noticed that the drain in the tub was not working well without having to mention the problem to them. This is also an historic property, and the Omni has placed lots of interesting posters about the hotel's history in the lobby.
Restaurant Tip : The Indian places on Connecticut Ave, around the corner from the hotel, are very good

Rather impressive, with large entrence halls, chandaliers, good service, large rooms, and clean. Elevators are a little small for such a size hotel. I was also disapointed that it had only an outdoor swimming pool, which was closed this time of year. Location of the hotel is also not the most ideal. I enjoyed my three nights at this hotel and I would warmly recommend it. The service was noticeably good, the place is impressive, convenient, everything functioned well, large rooms, and a generally nice and friendly atmosphere.

Large comfortable room
Pleasant location I stayed at the Omni Shoreham for seven nights whilst visiting my daughter in Washington. I had a lovely large, quiet room overlooking the park and pool. The lobby area was very large and comfortable. I was made a 'select guest' as I was staying for a number of nights, which meant I has free internet access plus tea/coffee brought to my room in the morning. At the time of booking, the rate for the room compared very favourably with a number of three star hotels in DC, so I felt I had a good deal, as this was very much a four star hotel. The area around the hotel was a very nice residential area, but really close to the metro for going sightseeing. It's also within walking distance of the (free!)zoo.
I didn't eat in the hotel, but across the road from the hotel is a very nice place for brunch called , I think, Open City - it gets very busy at the weekends with lots of local people and young families.
Travel tip : Brunch at Open City, shopping and eating in Georgetown

The staff was very friendly and especially helpful I ddin't know know what to expect but had a truly great experience at this hotel. We were greeted at the door when we got there and the entire weekend the staff was friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. It was nice to see the history of the hotel as displayed on banners. The staff themselves seemed to be happy which usually reflects that they are treated well by their employer. We were assisted in every way that we requested. The food at the restaurant was great and entire hotel was very clean. The neighborhood is interesting and has many fun restuarants also.

The check-in was very convenient and quick. It was a nice room with a big flat screen tv and a big, comfortable bed. It's a walk from almost anywhere, but is very convenient to the metro station. The Omni Shoreham was a very nice hotel. I really have no complaints. It's a walk from almost anywhere, but is right next to the metro station. It's also not that far from the zoo, which is at the same metro station. The room with nice with a flat screen TV, a comfortable bed, and a pretty view. The check-in and check-out process was also very quick and convenient taking only a couple minutes for each.

I stayed there during a conference and because of the conference almost all the rooms were sold out and the price was very high. People seemed to be friendly and I did not have any problem during my 5 day stay.

Rooms were larger than most hotel rooms. Liked the "oldness" of this hotel. Housekeeping could be put in check when it comes to things like dusting the window seals, reporting gross stains in the carpet, broken
fixtures and things that don't work. All in all I still enjoyed my first visit to your hotel. I had the pleasure of being a guest at an old
landmark in Washington, DC - the Omni Shoreham Hotel. This was my first time as a guest in this wonderful old hotel and I must say, I plan to be a frequent visitor to this hotel whenever I am in the Washington, DC area. Everyone treated me like I felt I should be treated when I am a guest in someone's home. The experience was, to say the least, a most enjoyable one. I only had a few problems when I first checked in but the staff more than made up for this inconvenience
soon after. If you are ever in the Washington, DC area, you will want to experience this most old school hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Was attending a seminar at another hotel, across the street and joined a "Moonlight Monument Tour" on my last evening. It was great- brought to you by CSI.

Great location. Clean. Nice staff. I like the location of the hotel. Next to a Metro station is a plus. The bathrooms are a little small but they were clean.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Great location. Close to a Metro Station and the Metro is great in DC. Can get anywhere in a short amount of time.
