Grand hotel in excellent part of city
Well equiped, comfortable room. Fantastic fitness center. Gorgeous lobby.

i greatly enjoyed my stay and did not want to leave! beautiful hotel, old but very well maintained. fitness center has much more than treadmills - great weightlifting machines and free weights. restaurant and pool looked very good.

About a dozen good restaurants 1 block away.

We loved this hotel, the entrance is grand, the rooms where so spacious, the beds where fantastic, every morning, at exactly the time we requested, we got our coffee.
The staff was more than friendly, and whatever you asked, they did their utmost to help you.
Whenever we'll visit Washington again, we will book the Omni Shoreham for sure!!

All the beautiful museums.

Beautiful historic hotel and lovely grounds, near the metro and the national zoo, good restaurants near hotel, hotel offers a very nice brunch

Love this part of DC. A nice combination of a residential neighborhood with local eateries and convenience stores. Easy to reach by metro from Amtrak station/Union Station.
Restaurant Tip:
Lebanese Taverna is excellent and close to the hotel.

If you are attending the TRB, staying at Omni is definitely the way to go as you will be at the midst of everything. A good place to dine is the Lebanese Tavern across of Connecticut Ave; great food and reasonable price. The Subway station is a 4-min walking distance. Just don’t forget to give your Select Guest membership number when you check-in to get free internet access

At check in I make a special request to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel sent a gift to her. Our children and grandchildren stayed in the hotel also. The hotel had welcome gifts for them. A + all the way.

Omni Continues As a Second-Rate Hotel

I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions and wasn't expecting much based upon past experiences. I wasn't disappointed. Concierge could not find a box which was critical to my meetings until the meetings were over. It was signed into the hotel 12 hours before it was located. Personal delivery by the General Manager helped, but was too little too late. My accommodations were small; but at least I didn't see a mouse, this time.

Nice variety of restaurants within walking distance.

We had our 22 year old son with us. the suite was perfect for the three of us. Ate in the restaurant it was excellent. Comedian in the lounge on Monday was very funny. Staff all very friendly. Location was good for us. Cafe across the street perfect for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

Everyone associated with the hotel was polite and ready to assist in any manner. There was a wide variety of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel!
