Decor was nice, service was excellent, location excellent.
Windows not sound proof consequently a lot of outside noise gets in. Also windows not well insulated for heat/cold. Lot of structural problems such as ceilings had poor plastering, bathroom tile and caulking was poor. No lighting in the closet. Mirror was damaged (chipped in places).
I would recommend staying at the Rouge Hotel. Close to Du Pont Circle area shops and restaurants and the Metro. Relatively safe area to stay. Service is excellent and the hotel rooms are decorated in way that makes you feel cozy.
